The People's Platform
After traveling to more than 35 counties and hosting 28 town halls across the state, one thing has become clear. South Dakotans may disagree on politics, we may disagree on approach, but we agree that our government should solve problems, not create them. This policy platform was built from conversations with farmers, teachers, veterans, healthcare workers, parents, students, small business owners, retirees, union members, labor leaders, tribal leaders, and working class South Dakotans from every corner of our state.
We have heard directly from community members about barriers to opportunity, economic hardship, infrastructure challenges, and public safety concerns. The People’s Platform came directly from those stories, conversations, and lived experiences.
